MUSEUM
SERIES TREE For
many years, the Make-A-Wish
Foundation has been dear to my
heart. So, as you can imagine, I was
excited when the Make-A-Wish
Foundation of Wisconsin
called Mall Silks to help out with a
young lady’s wish. The contact from
Make-A-Wish explained that the child’s
wish was to have a fantasy tree in her
room and have a swing hanging from the
ceiling (to look like it was attached to
the tree) so that she could swing in her
tree inside. The tree that we designed
for them was a half tree Museum Series
tree. The tree is going to be installed
on a wall in the room and the 12'
diameter canopy will hang into the
room. The trunk is a 24" molded bark
trunk with several large branches and a
few smaller branches coming out of
it. It was made so that the large
branches can be removed for shipping
purposes.
The final
set of the branches will take place on
site after the trunk is installed. The
trunk is mounted on an 18" x 36" base
plate that will also be fastened to the
floor for stability. The foliage is our
artificial Pin Oak foliage which makes
for a wonderful whimsical tree look. The
trunk and branches are all custom
painted and detailed by our artists. The
tree will be sent out Monday March 22
and will be installed at a later date
when convenient for the Make-A-Wish
coordinator. We had a lot of fun
creating and building this tree and it
is our hope that the young lady that
wished for it will enjoy it for many
years to come. Thank you to
organizations like Make-A-Wish that
continue to offer hope and love to the
precious children in difficult
circumstances.

Mall Silks
sells botanical accent materials for you to use
in your projects. On our website under the
heading of “Natural Elements” we list some of
the products that we sell to our clients in the
form of raw material botanical accents. There
you will find such items as bamboo poles,
birch poles, tree stems and
logs, etc. If there are items that you don't
see on our site, we can more than likely supply
them for you. We deal with rare and exotic woods
such as driftwood, manzanita, and specific genus
and species of bamboo. If you are in need of
custom made botanical art pieces, we create
those as well.
In the past, we
have created bamboo walls, birch trunk walls,
bare branch trees such as winter birch with no
leaves and snag trees for large aviary bird
